Clarity Agency

Clarity Agency has been specifically designed with Health and Social Care markets in mind, it provides an end to end solution for managing agency engagement and spend. From shift creation and requisitioning through to time-sheeting and invoicing, the system has multiple approval methods ensuring that control of agency requirements and the associated costs are always approved and monitored by the right people. It is fully auditable and provides detailed management information, supporting our clients to monitor and achieve their budget and recruitment goals.

Clarity Staff Bank

Clarity Staff Bank has been developed to increase engagement and uptake of shifts by bank workers within Trusts and Social Care settings. It ensures that bank workers have first refusal of any additional shifts available prior to engaging agencies, supporting the Trust in raising staff moral and minimising agency spend in the process. It enables our clients to partner with neighboring Trusts to share bank staff, maximising shift uptake and enabling our clients to utilise their bank staff more efficiently and effectively, delivering considerable cost savings in the process.

Clarity DE

Clarity DE (Direct Engagement) solution supports our clients in saving up to 21% on temporary staffing spend by directly contracting your agency workforce. Ensuring that VAT is only payable on agency commission. With our in-built invoicing and self-billing modules, clients have the opportunity to minimise costly and inefficient paper billing processes and in addition to the VAT savings, can expect to see a 2.5% reduction on spend due to the increased accuracy and control of costs the system provides. With a further 1% of savings made due to improved accuracy of payments and a reduction in fraudulently claimed hours.

Clarity Roster

Clarity Roster offers a dynamic take on E-rostering, it has been developed on the principle of an activity-based model, the solution looks to understand the task or activities that a business, hospital or ward needs to achieve and the associated workforce requirements needed to satisfy them. It is powerful enough to know the requirements of a department and bring all required staff resources together in one single click. It has the capability to track complex reward packages at the same time as giving workers greater control over their work patterns.

Clarity Bluelight

Clarity Bluelight was developed in conjunction South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) to support them in gaining better control of the spend on private providers. The solution provides a streamlined process for managing the rota shortfalls, allowing our Ambulance clients to upload shift requirements on a long or short-term basis, providing them with invaluable reporting on core and ad-hoc engagements of their private providers and ensuring NHS targets are met. SCAS reported a £1.2 million saving on Private Provider spend in the 1st year of operation.

Clarity Direct Engagement & KPMG

Since 2014 Clarity Workforce Solutions has been supported by KPMG to help develop and implement our Direct Engagement (DE) solution for the healthcare sector. Through our alliance relationship with KPMG we developed this solution with appropriate consideration of the tax, pensions and employment law implications for Clarity and our customers. 

The Direct Engagement solution provides an opportunity for organisations to engage directly, usually on an employment contract, with temporary staff that are introduced by an agency.

This alternative to a typical ‘agency worker’ supply, allows for a VAT saving on the payment made to the temporary staff member. The key to the success of Clarity’s system is the way this is done in practice, with due care and consideration of the tax and practical implications and the support we receive from KPMG.

 In addition to the VAT efficiency generated by direct engagement, our solution also delivers immediate additional savings of up to 5% of temporary staffing spend through process improvements and greater transparency of rates and cost.
